Don’t freeze or break an ankle!

Given that the ceremony is in the middle of the woods in January in Massachusetts (because we make questionably practical choices), we’re much more concerned with how comfortable you are than with how you look! Get as fancy as you personally enjoy getting, but make sure you’ll be warm and that walking is comfortable. You’ll be going about a quarter mile along a hiking trail – they’re gentle and well-maintained hiking trails, but they’re not paved, and there will be the occasional rock or tree root. Wear heels at your own risk.

There will be more than enough time to go back to the hotel and change between the ceremony and dinner if you want to wear something less practical for the second part of the festivities, but if you want to wear a ski suit and matching boots to dinner, we salute you!
