With the current Omicron wave, we are now asking everyone to take a rapid test the day of the wedding. We know it’s really hard to find rapid tests right now, but we were able to acquire a decent number of them a few weeks ago, so if you can’t find one on your own, let us know and we’ll get you one if we haven’t run out.
Please only accept your invitation if you are fully vaccinated at minimum and have gotten a booster shot if possible. If you’re bringing little ones and they’re too young, obviously they won’t be vaccinated, but that’s the only exception we’re making. We also ask that you stay home if you have any symptoms or suspect you may have been exposed and haven’t gotten a negative test. It’s the only gift we really want!
We’ve only invited about two dozen people. The ceremony will be outdoors, and we’re having dinner afterwards at a small restaurant that we’ve completely booked out, so we’ll be the only people there aside from staff. Our photographer, our videographer, and everyone on the restaurant staff is fully vaccinated and will be wearing masks.
Since we’re taking so many other precautions, we’re not currently requiring guests to wear masks, but it’s probably a good idea at least while we’re indoors, and we may change that as case numbers and medical guidance changes. We’ll have masks available if you decide you want one.
However, we want everyone to feel comfortable, so if you want to mask up and stay six feet away from everyone all day, please do. If someone else is feeling more cautious than you are, please respect their comfort level.
And if you wouldn’t be comfortable attending no matter how many precautions we all take, or want to come to just the ceremony and skip the rest, we promise our feelings won’t be hurt. Take care of yourself and do whatever you need to feel safe.
