If you’re coming from Long Island, there are a lot of ways to get to Massachusetts, but our personal favorite is taking the Cross Sound Ferry from Orient Point to New London rather than driving all the way around. In our experience it takes about the same amount of time, the cost about breaks even compared to gas and tolls, and it’s way less miserable than dealing with NYC and Connecticut traffic.
